Christian Bale Visits Aurora, Colorado Shooting Victims in Hospital
Christian Bale, the most recent actor to have the honor of donning the Bat suit in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy, recently visited the victims of the Aurora, Colorado shooting which took the lives of 12 individuals and injured at least 59 as they watched a midnight screening of The Dark Knight Rises. Since the shooting occurred on July 20th, Warner Bros. immediately began canceling numerous premieres for the film around the globe, effectively canceling all press opportunities to meet with the cast and crew.
Now, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Christian Bale used this downtime to take the opportunity to visit the hospital in which many of the wounded are still being treated. According to a Warner Bros. representative, Bale took the initiative to make the trip all by himself and not under the direction of either the studio or the film.
