Disney, LucasFilm and the future of ‘Star Wars’ at Dark Horse Comics
By now, the entire world (and perhaps a distant planetary system or two) have heard the news that Disney recently purchased LucasFilm and all related Star Wars properties in a monumental $4.05 billion transaction. The announcement was coupled with the news that Disney plans on delivering another round of Star Wars films with the first installment, Star Wars: Episode 7, set to arrive in theaters as early as 2015.
While fans of the franchise rushed to the web to express their ideas about how the future of Star Wars may play out on the big screen, a great number of fans also began to question the future course of Star Wars in other mediums, including both print and video games.
