Revealed earlier today at the 2012 Toy Fair, Mattel has announced that they will be releasing a 1:1 scale movie-accurate replica of the Hoverboard as seen in Back to the Future II (sans the hover)! The ad on display at Toy Fair claims that the board will be “movie accurate” which seems pretty appropriate considering that there’s even a hole in the board where Marty ripped off the scooter-like pole.

Michael J. Fox recently took the stage, Gibson in hand, and recreated the classic scene from Back to the Future in which he serenades a high-school audience with his rendition of Johnny B. Goode. The performance was part of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinsons, an annual star-studded event that helps to raise money for the Michael J Fox Foundation.

Nike announced today that they’re planning on holding an event where they will make a significant Back to the Future-related announcement. If there’s one thing that pops to mind when thinking Nike and BTTF, it’s the pair of self-lacing Nike shoes that Marty McFly sported in the second film.
A strange Back to the Future viral video has surfaced which features Doc Brown stepping out of a freshly traveled DeLorean, arriving in the year 2011. The video appears to be a commercial of sorts that was shot in Argentina and is filmed in a “found footage” type of manner as two pedestrians catch the DeLorean appearing out of nowhere and coming to a stop in front of what appears to be an electronics store.
