‘The Seventh Day’ Comic Book News - Week of November 25-December 1

Greetings fans! We’ve got a brand new episode of The Seventh Day to deliver, talking about a few of our favorite highlights from last week’s comic book news!

First off, Adam is super excited for Marvel’s upcoming ‘Age of Ultron’ event with 10 issues in the mini-series arriving over the course of 4 months. Not to mention the tie-ins to the series! Marvel also slipped out a mysterious new teaser for the ‘X-Termination’ event and while no details have yet to be released, the image of 616 Wolverine battling the Age of Apocalypse Nightcrawler appears to suggest that the shocking events that took place in Uncanny X-Force will continue to play out in this event.

Bryan Singer announced that Ian Mckellen and Patrick Stewart will be reprising their respective roles as Professor X and Magneto for ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ while Hugh Jackman is currently being rumored to return as well!  He’ll be playing Cyclops….*cough*

In TV news, The CW has begun casting the lead actress for their upcoming ‘Amazon’ Wonder Woman series while Syfy is gearing up to bring Booster Gold to your television in 2013!

Hugh Jackman May Return as Wolverine in X-Men: Days of Future Past

THR has reported that Hugh Jackman is currently in talks to reprise his role as Wolverine for X-Men: Days of Future Past, the highly anticipated sequel to X-Men: First Class. If true, this would mark the seventh time that Jackman has taken on the role of the classic Marvel character and would mark the third time he’s reprised the role under the direction of Bryan Singer.

New still released of Hugh Jackman in James Mangold’s The Wolverine

Empire Magazine has exclusively released a brand new official still from James Mangold’s The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman as he reprises the role of Marvel Comics’s popular X-Men character. The upcoming film will mark Hugh Jackman’s sixth appearance as Logan (ie, Wolverine) after appearing in all three of the original X-Men films, X-Men: First Class (cameo) and even his very own solo film, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Marvel Confirms ‘Savage Wolverine’ Series by Frank Cho

Following last week’s release of the one-word “Savage” promo for a new Marvel NOW! series, Marvel has confirmed that Frank Cho will both be writing and illustrating a new Wolverine title. The upcoming series, titled Savage Wolverine, will feature the title X-Men character as he teams up with Shanna the She-Devil in the Savage Land, a territory that Cho knows well after his work on the Shanna the She-Devil limited series back in 2005.
