PCWorld Launches 'Star Wars' Advertising Campaign For the Holidays

Curry’s PCWorld is wishing that the force be with you this holiday season. The British electronics store has launched an officially licensed Star Wars campaign to help market itself for the holiday season, allowing for commercials to be produced starring Chewbacca, Darth Vader, R2-D2 and more. This isn’t the first time PCWorld has used the Star Wars license to market itself. They released several ads last year to show off their megastores using R2-D2 and C-3PO as their ambassadors.

World's Largest Lightsaber Celebrates the Release of 'Star Wars' Blu-Ray

In celebrating the release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray, promoters went above and beyond to turn London’s BT Tower into the world’s largest lightsaber. This amazing project was the culmination of more than 60 4,500W lights, each over a meter in height, which produced a giant blue beam of light that shone 200 meters into the night sky from the top of the BT Tower.
