Hey fans! Welcome back to another weekly recap of last week’s comic book news on The Seventh Day!
This week we geek out about the newly released footage from Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ That’s right, folks…#COULSONLIVES! Plus, will Robert Downey Jr. make a guest appearance down the line now that he’s freed up from doing more Iron Man movies? AH! GOTCHA! Well, maybe not. His contract with Marvel is officially over and there’s really no telling what the future holds for the ‘Iron Man’ franchise. We’ve got an idea or two…
We also talk about the announcement for Disney’s upcoming CGI adaptation of ‘Big Hero 6’, another obscure Marvel property that will be making its way to the big screen in 2014.
Also, a DC UNIVERSE VS MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE 6-issue mini-series is heading to stores in August and what’s not to love (or hate) about such an event?? We have a feeling the internet will share its thoughts with us.
And finally, Valiant Comics is once again gearing up for summertime with the announcement for ‘Eternal Warrior’, the upcoming series being written by Greg Pak!

Here’s my SPOILER-FREE review of Iron Man 3!
Iron Man 3 is a gem.
Well, caught an early screening of Iron Man 3 last night and had to say that I absolutely loved it. It’s different, folks…but it’s a solid effort that totally dwarfs the sequel. There are some twists that NO one saw coming and Marvel played it beautifully. If it’s not your cup of tea, it’s not your cup of tea and that’s fine. But in no way was anything “ruined” by this effort. Thank you, Marvel!

‘Iron Man 3’ Scores Big International Box Office Debut
The first wave of overseas box office numbers are in for Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 and they are BIG! The latest film from Marvel Studios and Disney made a staggering $195.3 million debut overseas, breaking several box-office records in Argentina, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore. With this incredible weekend debut overseas, Iron Man 3 has already almost matched its $200 million budget.
